(TL; DR - You can do yoga. 💛)
I pursued a Yoga for All training over these last months because it matters to me who feels welcome on the mat.
Exceedingly grateful to Dianne Bondy and Amber Karnes for the ways they show up and share of themselves in yoga and beyond.
Yoga spaces in the United States have often centered thin, white women, and so many will assume yoga isn’t “for” them. I have felt the effects as a student and teacher in an abundant body, and more importantly, acknowledge the impact can fall hardest on those with intersecting marginalized identities.
I ALWAYS have more to learn about how I can show up in a more anti-racist, inclusive way, but want you to know that pursuing that matters to me as a yoga practitioner, instructor, and human.
